Boot Loop?

It does seem to get stuck in a boot loop. (flashing the screen white on and off over and over again.)

Reinstalling doesn’t seem to fix the boot loop issue.

Powering it off & back on or reset button alone does not seem to help.

But if you hold the reset button and turn power on and release reset quickly it sometimes will boot and run normal. After that, the reset button can be pressed and reset the device as many times as you want. But as soon as its powered off and back on, it goes into a boot loop.

The other way I could get it to boot is to plug it into USB and press the reset button & it’ll fully boot every time. After that usb can be unplugged and runs normal until a power cycle.

I just noticed the boot loop appears to maybe only be occurring when T-Deck is turned off and back on within a few seconds. If T-Deck is turned off and left off for 1min then turned back on, everything appears to run normal.

This behaver happen both installed directly on T-Desk & when installed though launcher.

@mumbles1 Is the device you are using exactly a T-Deck or a T-Deck Plus?

@mumbles1 Your T-Deck plus is actually a newer version than mine, and the keypad style is totally different. I’ve just finished the update to v1.1.0. Could you try running that again on this version?

I'm still getting the same boot loop symptoms with 1.1.0 as I did with 1.0.0 but have to wait a little longer before powering back on.

The curser placement very nice improvement.

Feature request - I don't know if its posable to maybe add alt + trackball to move curser? and/or be able to tap anywhere right of text to reset curser to last position instead of having to tap right at the end? Because when text is pulsing it can be difficult to select a new position anywhere right of curser position.

I just found the hidden on screen curser keys. Nice, that works.
I did notice it covers up part of long commands. If the on screen key menu was a little shorter so it didn't cover the command line that would help with the curser placement issue I was having.

@mumbles1 I am unable to reproduce the loop issue on my end. Are there any specific steps to reproduce this issue other than simply quickly turning the right switch off and on repeatedly?

When I turn it off, if I try to turn it back on on anytime less than 30 seconds it goes into "boot loop" (flashing white screen). If I wait longer than 30 seconds when I turn it on it will boot normal. It does this every time at least on my T-Deck NOT just occasionally. I don't know if that helps

I also have the same issue (white flashing screen / boot loop). Same variant of T-Deck Plus as @mumbles1. Though I have only tested it via Launcher.

I also have flashing white screen with v1.1 on Tdeck Plus, I am using Launcher as well. I use the Tdeck mostly for Meshtastic so would be cool to have Launcher switch to some other firmware occasionally.
