For Those About To Tock

Liner Notes, 02/23/2021

Tock's latest and largest release of 2021! Tock's a bit friendlier to use, with a new and more accessible project selection input as well as a small reminder that your session is timing out soon if you've been Tockin' for almost an hour.

On the flip side of this release, Tock is expanding its visualizations into the project specific genre. We're rendering an interactive area chart on each project details page along with an exportable data table. These give anyone a quick and inspectable view into by whom and how many hours tocked for any given project. Take a stroll over to the projects aisle and check it out for yourself!

For Those About To Tock

Liner Notes, 06/18/2020

:happytock: updates coming to a cloud.gov near you! In Tock's ongoing journey to accurately reflect the awesome efforts of Tockers everywhere, we're making it bit easier for Tock to understand movement across TTS and for admins to update previously submitted timecards.

When Tocking each week, you'll be seeing less available projects. You're now only able to tock to project lines associated with your current Organization (18F, PIF, Cloud.gov, etc). If you're missing a project line to which you need to Tock, please don't hesitate to reach out in #tock.

Stuff You Can See
  • #968 - Weekly timecard reports are now filtered by organization for easier scanning.
  • #1020 - Admins can now enter target billable hours as an integer instead of a percent, making it easier to understand expectations.
  • #1057 - To better handle movement across TTS, we're now tracking organization on each timecard. Only timecards associated with 18F are included in utilization reporting.
  • #1060 - Users can now only Tock to project line's associated with their current organization. If this creates a problem for you Tocking, please notify a Tock admin.
  • #1098 - Only submitted Timecards are included in unit and individual utilization reports/tables
  • #1112 - Links to the utilization and timecard reports are now visible to all users

Under The Hood:
  • #1099 - Updating python dependencies
  • #1024 - Organization is now a required field when adding or updating a User account via the Django Admin
  • #1111 - Timecards are easier to update via the Admin when we need to make corrections to billable targets/organization
