Context

Our Grafana Global Dashboard is broken and not showing any data, along with a message about the CarbonPlan data source missing. I think this is related to:

Proposal

  • Remove CarbonPlan from being on the critical path to the global usage dashboard updating
  • If possible, make our global usage dashboard more resilient so that decommisioning a cluster/hub does not break it

I'm not 100% sure how this dashboard is maintained, but I went to the JSON Model under settings and got rid of the carbonplan block which seems to have fixed it.

@yuvipanda isn't that dashboard maintained purely via our github configuration? AKA won't any changes made within the Grafana UI be over-written the next time we deploy?
