In numpy and matplotlib histograms, weights is an array of values $w_i$ weighing each sample $(x_i, y_i, z_i, …)$. It's convenient to calculate the sum of an array of different indices, returning the results of each index. Also, it is helpful in flux density estimation. I wish the histnd could add this function.
