Hello,

I know that this is work in progress, but we are using to hep describe our soil profiles (also a work in progress!). I'm trying to understand the source of what you have up. Is it from a combination of all years 1996, 2002, 2016 ?

I guess it is a little difficult to get one PID if it a combo of all three volumes. Noted your rdfs:seeAlso leads to 'unknown product' https://www.publish.csiro.au/book/7428

To complicate things, we are also using the colour which comes from Xavier's sandbox collection, which I noted has no metadata on the volume source.

For now I'll cite Isbell, R.F. (1996;2002;2016) The Australian Soil Classification (2nd edn). CSIRO Publishing, Melbourne - let me know if I"m well off track

Cheers
Megan

There is no CSIRO Publishing entry for ASC 2nd edition any more - maybe that's what /7428 pointed to.
3rd edition is https://www.publish.csiro.au/book/8016

Maybe we should use the NLA records instead - probably more stable and won't be retired
2nd ed https://catalogue.nla.gov.au/Record/6858557
3rd ed https://catalogue.nla.gov.au/Record/8558027

But I'm pretty sure @ljgregory was working from 2nd ed.

Should we should use CSIRO's permalinks?

there are 4 editions...
Original edition (1996)
Revised edition (2002)
Second edition (2016)
Third edition (2021)

It was ages ago, but I remember working towards backward compatibility and including the edition details for provenance.
