Update :

i reopen the issue, because i can't see temporay video when i use Cat catch extension with Supermium and i suppose Throrium and I guess Thorium has the same behavior, i can't test with Thorium legacy because it lags , i wait new version, i explain the issue , i can see temporary video when i use "live stream donwloadr" extension but not when i use "cat catch" extension :

UPDATE :

actually i can't use Thrium legacy, i suffer for weaks that Thorium lag, stop working....i guess whan i update the last version causes some bug......so i test with Supermium and i suppose this is the same thing for Thorium Legacy who probably will use chromium kernel 126 in next version :

so, aiee , I am downloading a streaming video and unfortunately, contrary to my expectations for chromium kernel 126, Supermiumn and i gusse Thorium do the same thing does not allow to display the temporary hls video in the download folder so impossible to playback the temporary video and we hope Thorium Legacy will display temporary video in the download folder please when we use Cat-Catch video downloader extension please :)

Hello, my internet connection is very weak especially when my sister uses HDMI, I can't playback streaming video because it lags and jerks, so the trick is to download the video and playback the temporary hls video while it's downloaded by Cat-Catch extension, unfortunately catsxp browser is migrating to chromium kernel 131 which removes this possibility and we hope Supermium browser will do what is necessary to continue to display the temporary hls video in the download folder in order to playback it, thank you!

I explain this serious bug in this issue made in the github of Cat-Catch extension video downloader :

xifangczy/cat-catch#567

i use catsxp for downloading because it uses the latest chromium kernel recommended by a video extension for video downloading, but now after the disaster in chromium 131, I will use Thorium legacy and Supermium browsers to download, because Thorium legacy and Supermium uses chromium 124 or chromium 126 which allows to display the temporary video in the download folder, in addition chromium 131 changes custom url protocol so I can no longer use preview with potplayer of Cat Catch while Thorium and Supermium allows us to preview with potplayer, thank you! we hope these defects of chromium 131 will be erased by Thorium , thank you!

UPDATE : problem fixed :

Hi, AlhamdoulilAllah I finally found the solution how to display and playback temporary video while downloading, it's a question of logic and common sense since it works in other browsers, the fault is that I changed a default parameter, and to make Supermium even lighter, I disabled many things including the option "continue running applications in the background after closing chrome"!

chrome://settings/system

just reactivate this option and the problem is fixed alhamdoulilAllah! Thanks and glory to God Allah the only God of all people!

disabling this option even messed up destroy preview feature with vlc and potplayer when I use open in vlc and and cat catch!

Hi, I already said that by reactivating the option " "continue running applications in the background after closing chrome"!
in
chrome://settings/system, I can see and playback temporary video when I use Live-stream-donwloader in Supermium , I logically thought it's the same with Cat catch extension when I activate 'stream download' and I deactivate "ffmpeg transcod " in m3u8 parser, but I do some tests and Supermium does not display the temporary video when we use cat catch, I did the same test with chrome for windows 7 and chrome displays the temporary video downloaded by Cat catch, so we hope please our beloved Supermum will display the temporary video when we use cat catch please, because may be in the future cat cat catch can downlad videos that live stream donwloader can't donwload (actually live stream donwloader is more powerful that cat catch) , also let's note this problem of temporary video of cat atch not displayed also affects catsxp browser.
