max number of communities with SimilarityMult

Hi,
I tried SimilarityMult to calculate the similarity matrix for 67 communities with different number of plots (between 10-30 each, 1220 in total). However, I get this error:
Error in sum(sapply(I, function(I) 2 * min(boot.X1[I], boot.X2[I]))) : invalid 'type' (list) of argument

I thought the error was somehow related to the number of communities, so just to confirm, I gradually grouped the plots to reduce the number of communities until the analysis ran with only 18 communities. I would like to know if this is actually a limitation of the SimilarityMult function, so that I should definitely reduce the number of communities?

did you ever get an answer to this? I encountered the same issue with SimilarityPair - some pairs work, some return this error

I suspect it may be due to the overlap in these assemblages / communities but I would really want to know what is going on here.

Hi Fabian, No, unfortunately I never received an answer to the issue. In the end, I was not able to use those functions for my analyses and I used a different approach, I attach here the publication in case you might find any useful information in there...
