grub.cfg missing on LVM installs

Install with LUKS / LVM xfce4 leads me to grub rescue.

After chrooting into the installed system and generate the missing grub.cfg system boots fine.

so as it looks like to me it do not install grub-zfs but fetching it...

I've been running into this same issue. The installer appears to hang at "Installing Bootloader" and eventually finishes, but grub.cfg is never generated/installed.

[EDIT] The install was attempted on a Thinkpad T560 with full-disk Luks/LVM selected in the installer.

I've attached the logs from my last attempt. cnchi-alpm.log needed to be compressed due to its large size (48mb)/
