In mpv.conf, does the line:

#91: sub-ass-force-style=Kerning=yes # allows you to override style parameters of ASS scripts
make sense?

That's indeed correct. Mpv config syntax can get a little complicated like that. Here's another example of this: https://mpv.io/manual/master/#escaping-spaces-and-other-special-characters
Mpv will loudly complain about incorrect config syntax/options.

I should update this config here though, as I already intended to do quite some time ago. Modernized it a little but haven't come around to properly test all edge cases and finally push it.
