What
Self-hosted sites include a widget in their homepage showing events near the user.
WordPress.com's dashboard does not include this option:
Why
This widget has proved to have a huge impact connecting users to their local communities. It does not make sense for WP.com to "discard" this widget and we are doing a disfavour to ourselves, to our users and to the WordPress project by doing so. Please add it.
Yes, we have a link to WP-Admin but it will go unnoticed to most users.
How
We can use Calypso's Design/Interface, but we should include that information there.
