Follow-up issue from #85890 (comment)

When using Woo Express free trial site, Course theme subscription button points to creator plan, which is not applicable for Woo Express free trial plan.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Create an Ecommerce free trial site by going to https://wordpress.com/setup/entrepreneur
  2. Go to Appearance > Theme Showcase
  3. Search for course
  4. Click on the Course theme
  5. Click on Upgrade to activate
  6. Observe broken checkout screen
  7. Observe checkout is linked to Business plan

What I expected

Users should be linked to the plans screen so that they can choose which plans to subscribe to.

Hey, @inaikem! I took a quick look with my site in ecomm trial plan (https://wordpress.com/setup/entrepreneur) and it seems to be reproducible. The subscribe button links to checkout with business plan instead of ecommerce plan:

Issue reopened. @Automattic/dotcom-product-ambassadors, I've moved this back into the "Needs triage" queue for your attention. Thanks!

📌 REPRODUCTION RESULTS

  • Tested on the platform – couldn't replicate it.

📌 ACTIONS

  • Closing as it's no longer applicable.

📌 Message to Author

  • The current behavior is correct and it's expected to see the Business plan as an option in the checkout because the Woo Express plans have been discontinued.

I'm reopening this as the Woo Express bit threw me off.

I agree that users should be allowed to choose their plan after clicking only display the " Business plan" in the checkout.

@renatho I'm pinging your as well to share more insights on how this should work and if the users should be presented with the Business and Commerce plans as options in the process.
