To Reproduce

Login as a user that never has opened azure cloud shell.

Observed Behavior

You select your shell e.g. powershell and then you are directly promted to create a fileshare for persistent storage. There is no way to setup your cloud shell with ephemeral storage only.

Expected behavior

I can choose to only use ephemeral storage as shown in step 4 of this guide (https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/cloud-shell/get-started/ephemeral?tabs=azurecli)

There should also be a possiblitiy to reset this setting for a user. So that the user can choose again.

Is this specific to Cloud Shell?

Yes

Interface information

I'm using Microsoft Edge on Windows 10 via https://portal.azure.com

Thank you for reporting this @pkosiol-cc, are you working in the public cloud or government cloud?
