Guide for complete stranger to GitHub/coding in general? #18
-
Hello! I've been trying to use MuseScore (which uses Audiveris) to convert PDFs into MIDI files but have run into the first file that I couldn't convert, and oemer looks even more promising from everything I've seen. However, I'm having trouble actually getting it up and running in the first place. I'm not at all familiar with Github/coding, but I can follow instructions such as from a YouTube video. Plus, from what I've read, Python 3.8 is needed to use oemer, but there is no more installer for Python 3.8 anymore. Where should I start? Any tutorial videos or such? Thank you. Update: I made some more progress, but I ran into an error. It says "ValueError: max() arg is an empty sequence". I've pasted the rest of what it said below.
