LST pod?

I've been trying to make a config for a Pave Penny Laser Spot Tracker (LST) but I cannot seem to get anything functional in terms of having a pod that can't designate itself and is reliant on outside sources.

However, the current mod doesn't seem to support such thinking as I'd need to make my own code for it to work, and I don't have any understanding of C#.

That said, I was wondering if it would be possible to see a demonstrator part that behaves like an LST, or if there is some solution that I'm missing.
