CPA not able to connect to GitHub to look for updates

## This may be an issue with my computer but I couldn't find any post about it on the forums. 
I am a new user but I notice that when I open the program, the Log window warns me that "CPA could not connect to github". This is not due to internet connectivity issues.
I appreciate any comments on this issue.
