With I-analyzer, we try to make text mining accessible to beginners in two ways:
It would be cool if users visiting I-analyzer would be encouraged to learn more about I-analyzer. and corpus research in general. We should at least include some kind of link to the CDH events page, so users can find out about the workshop.
More involved would be to provide actual tutorials or demos online. We have a technical manual, but that does not really explain how you can use I-analyzer's features to answer a research question. My ideal version of this would also include some tutorials that take you through a particular question and how you can use I-analyzer to answer that. This could highlight different ways of using I-analyzer - relying more on distant reading or close reading, text or metadata features, etc.
We can come up with this ourselves, but it would also cool if we could talk to researchers for this and essentially have them talk you through how they use I-analyzer. For instance, Pasi has written quite a bit about his methods, if we could adapt that into a more entry-level text that would be really useful to budding historians.
