Always on external power through V5V? #2
Description
When VCC is off, V5V pin could be an alternative power path for the AP33772S when
provided a 5V external power.
The datasheet somewhat cryptically mentions that the chip can be powered independently though V5V when VCC is off.
My device will always be powered independent of the USB source (power supply tester), so the cycling is unhelpful. However, it makes no further mention of how this is done and if a switch over circuit is needed and what the timings would be.
The Diodes INC demo board also doesn't make any provision for this.
Curious if anyone knows more about this. I have the CentyLab board and am willing to do PCB surgery :)
