How does the game work?

Beautiful aesthetically, but how does it all come together?

Truth be told, its rather simple, but there is a bit and this is what this page is for. This will mainly be focused on combat as it is most of the number crunching.

Player

The player has several ways of dealing damage to others.

  • Cactus: 1HP
  • Grappling Hook: 1HP
  • Pickaxe: 2HP
  • Arm Cannon: 3HP

Enemies

Dealt with in the enemies section on the wiki in greater detail, but here will provide an overview. The player has only 8HP in total and enemies have three general attacks programmed to get rid of it.

Melee: Your basic run up close and stab/slash/slap. Melee foes are usually fast.

Projectile: Like the arm cannon, attacks can curve and hit you over objects. Projectile foes are usually middling.

Laser: A beam shot in a straight line at the player. Used at long range and deals high damage.
