Crashes when trying to lock app

What happened?

A bug happened!

How to reproduce:

1. You musn't have set biometric or PIN before.
2. Settings>Select "Lock app with devices biometric or pin"
3. Select "Enabled"
4. Tap to set up
5. Go back.

App Version

7.4.1

Android Version (API Level)

Android 12 (SDK 31)

Tried to get it without any success.

Believe me, i tried to do that... And not 1 time...Severals.

The problem is in redirecting to github from NotallyX>github. When you try to login, you receive error 404.. Btw, i found another way to do that:

Same issue here. Unable to access my (important for work) notes now.
After enabling bioauthentication upon app start error screen says: java.lang.RuntimeException: Exception while computing database live data.

@PhilKes this is A15 LineageOS. please let me know if i you need something more. cheers!

PS. Just found this issues only exist if notes exist already. If I reset app, enable fingerprint verification and then import my backup notes it works fine.

Hi, I am very sorry I did not respond for so long, I have not been working on the app for quite some time.
Sorry again for your inconveniences.
The biometric lock is very complex feature, especially regarding compatibilites, safety etc.
If something like SQLiteException: file is not a database, most probably the preferences got out of sync with the encryption state of the database.

#698 greatly improves this, and also the error behavior if dis-/enabling Biometric lock/de-/encrypting the database fails, not leading to data loss.

I think and hope that the here described issues will be fixed in upcoming v7.5.3
