Roadmap

This is the roadmap of future Project Tracker releases. The features here are categorized into major releases. In short, these are huge updates with many new features. However, to get the newest features out as quickly as possible to enpower developers right away, often smaller releases are made (such as v1.2, v1.5, etc.) that contain a few of the features of thoese larger releases.


Major releases:

Note: estimated release dates are estimated. Based on how quickly the project is progressing, these may change. It's not uncommon for a project to be finished ahead of schedule. When the project gets close to the estimated release date, either an updated estimate or an official date will be posted allowing you to stay up to date with when new updates will be available.

v1.0:

Released: May 14th, 2020

  • Create installer.
  • Create Project Tracker.
  • Create main window.
  • Create add-program window.
  • Enable auto-updates.
  • Add updating information on main table functionality.
  • Move installation files to GitHub.
  • Finish view-program window.
  • Allow deleting of items in the add-program tables.

v2.0:

Released: June 1st, 2020

  • Create a better design for main window.
  • A more subtle way of displaying an update.
  • A way to see the language for each project.
  • Allow resizing of windows.
  • Add a settings menu.
  • Allow users to check for updates after the app is opened.

v3.0:

Estimated release date: July 10th, 2020

  • A way to see the release date of the next project and what new features it's bringing.
  • Lines of code counting and display.
  • Allow linking of a folder to each project to easily see files from Project Tracker.
  • Bring back project duration.
  • GitHub integration!
  • Search bar functionality.
  • Themes.
