Hardware Bill-of-Materials (HBOM) generator - NLnet project

Over at nlnet foundation's website I saw that there is a project aiming to generate HBOMs with cdxgen. Unfortunately, I could not find any current status of this project or contact information.

Does anyone know about this project? I work for a publicly funded project in Germany and would love to use cdxgen to generate an HBOM (My understanding is that the current cdxgen generates SBOMs only).
