Nice job Hunter. You have made a lot of progress with this dataset.

I would start to focus more on the areas that tend to be most affected. Please let me know if you have any questions! Below are some comments I took as I read.

• Connected Scatterplot
  • Remove connecting line, just include the raw data points
  • For barplot, remove category 4 on the x axis
    • You might have to make Max.category a factor and specify that the levels are 2,3, and 5
• Plot of hurricane frequency over the years
  • I like this a lot as a first step. I would use geom_line() instead and color the line by unit
    • Also change unit legend title
• I know you still need to get the start and end date…I am hesitant to send all code on this example, but I would see if you can’t get started by at least extracting the start date
