Exrail handles far more than train automation. It gives you the ability to create and modify throttle buttons, ways to set startup options, ways to alter track allocations, define rosters, turnouts, signals, accessories, servos and link sensors and buttons to arbitrarily complex actions including delays and random choices .....
MySetup was just a way of running commands at startup before Exrail was released exrail can do it all.

There is no extra download to use exrail, it's embedded on the cs code. You write your xcripts in the exrail "language" and its compiled onto the cs code which is loaded into the command station flash memory.
