At the upcoming DINAcon 2024 on November 21 in Bern, we will present the idea of a contract library that companies can use in business transactions for the use and development of open source software.
Our talk will introduce the idea of a repository of openly licensed contracts and other legal templates intended primarily for use by the free and open source community. This discussion has been circulating within CH Open for several years and has been reignited by recent publications from neighboring communities.
Some of the issues we plan to discuss with our participants include:
What about the liability for contracts?
Is it even possible to work with templates, what situations would that be appropriate in?
What do the existing models cover?
How do we want to facilitate cooperation between the legal and technical community?
Please join our session (which will be run in German), or contribute to our virtual discussions here.
