Midi clock send

I don't know if it's possible yet, but it would be cool to send a midi clock signal ditectly from Cardinal.

Hi, DAW like Reaper have delay compensation. It works well on everything (plugins, tracks, audio inserts, cv signal...) but not on the midi ''time clock signal''. In Reaper I use cardinal to control all my hardware synths parameters easily. But it's not possible to correctly sync, via midi clock, the sequencer of a Roland TR ie. If Cardinal plugin could send midi clock signal, the delay compensation will automaticly applied. 👍 It makes sens for me and my actual workflow. But I don't know if it's technically possible. Maybe, I'll find a workaround with trig to make a fake sync clock.

It doesn't make sense for a plugin to send midi clock messages. A plugin syncs to the DAW transport and it's the DAWs responsibility to keep time.

Can you give any examples of plugins that send midi clock messages?

https://github.com/x42/mclk.lv2 is one by the way. but is mostly useful for testing.

it wont work on cardinal, but it doesnt need to. cardinal should not be the one sending this midi out, this has nothing to do with cardinal but with how host handles sync with other devices.

Reaper can load lv2, so it can load that plugin that generates midi clock. Still nothing to do with cardinal

Edit: This lv2 midi clock works well 🤩. But, in my workflow, when a plug Reainsert (Reaper) after, the clock signal to hardware is broken. So It's a Reainsert problem. 😅 Many thanks for the infos.
