"The SaniDigS Platform is built upon the Software Development Life Cycle of Agile development following the six (6) phases:",
"Concept: In this phase we determined the scope of our project and choose Kyebando parish in Kawempe division to pilot our operation. We developed a data gathering plan with the key indicators of the sanitation service chain pointed by Kampala City Council Authority (KCCA) as a performance matrix in order to understand the past sanitation situation, monitor the present and predict the future sanitation of the parish.",
"Inception: Upon the creation of the concept, a development team was assembled to rise to the task upon which workflows and process diagrams we’re produced. Upon each design step, stakeholders were consulted for their input, these included: the Kyebando residents, the sanitation product and service providers, the village leadership, the SaniDigS steering committee, and Amref Health Africa in Uganda project managers.",
"Iteration: The bulk of the SaniDigS platform development was performed in this phase as stakeholders’ input was implemented in the software. App mockups were redrawn, process operations were modified, interface themes and colors were altered to match the vision of the project. All these efforts resulted into a Minimum Viable Product (MVP).",
"Release: With the MVP ready for release, the team proceeded to perform a number of quality assurance tests check functionality and iron out any bugs swiftly whilst documenting these events. Also, during this phase, we trained product and service providers, VHT Champions, and project stakeholders how the system operates mostly in Kyebando at Kyebando Church of Uganda primary school. After the training, the SaniDigS Mobile app for users and the SaniDigS Driver App for product were deployed on Google playstore ready for download and install.",
"Maintenance: Onboarding of clients commenced as performed by the Village Health Team (VHT) Champions. The development team maintains an open line to feedback from these users to maintain stability of the whole system and incorporate new iterations of the system to meet feasible requirements.",
"Retirement: The SaniDigS solution at the moment has not reached this stage as results of performance are just coming in."
