Request: Make this work locally with Excel

Hey!
Awesome plugin. I used to use JSON populator a lot but not everybody in our organization likes to edit JSON files and the convention how the variables/placeholders work isn’t as elegant as your solution. Unfortunately, we aren’t allowed to share any information via any Google service. Therefore my question is if you plan a version which works locally with data which can be exported from Excel (😖 I know!).

I think this would be possible — but it would be a bigger piece of work. I want to build this out to be a bit more agnostic, so the data could sync from files or Google Sheets or a JSON file or whatever.
However, this will probably be a bit more later in the roadmap.

Hey @DWilliames, just wondering if this plugin is still being maintained? I've run into a situation at work where something like this would be extremely useful (excel in particular).
