Waxed Oak Table & Spruce Low Table Wipe Item NBT and Enchantments

Hi! I’ve encountered a glitch involving the Waxed Oak Table and the Spruce Low Table. When placing any used or enchanted item on either table, the item is instantly reverted to its default state. All enchantments, damage values, and custom NBT data are removed, resulting in a fully repaired, unmodified item.

For example, placing a pair of damaged, enchanted Iron Boots on the table turns them into brand-new, unenchanted boots.

Additionally, placing a Sophisticated Backpacks backpack on these tables completely wipes its contents and restores the backpack to a clean, empty state, causing all stored items to be lost.

I’m currently using dawnoftimebuilder-forge-1.20.1-1.5.41.jar on a Minecraft Server (Forge 47.4.12).

Hahaha, it definitely caught us off guard when we first discovered it. A friend was testing our public server and placed his backpack on the table, and we were shocked when it came back completely empty!

Good to know you’re looking into it, I’ll keep an eye out for the fix so I can re-include the mod in my modpack once everything’s resolved.

Yup, able to reproduce this as well. Tested enchants, Patchouli books- anything with NBT data as SundOfficial noted. Played on Minecraft 1.20.1 on Java 25, Forge 47.4.13, with dawnoftimebuilder-forge-1.20.1-1.5.42.jar.
