Description
Environment
Minecraft version: 1.20.1
Mod loader: Forge
Mod version: 1.5.43
Description
There appears to be a z-fighting rendering issue affecting blocks of the type
dawnoftimebuilder:variant_wall (example: dawnoftimebuilder:spruce_wall).
When placed in certain configurations (e.g. adjacent to another wall / connected segments / state tall), faces appear to render on the same plane, causing flickering textures and visible face conflicts.
Steps to reproduce
- Launch Minecraft 1.20.1 with Forge and Dawn of Time Builder
- Place a
dawnoftimebuilder:spruce_wallblock - Place additional plain blocks next to it (make them connect, ofc)
- Observe the wall face below : textures flicker when moving the camera
Expected behavior
variant_wall blocks should render cleanly with no overlapping faces, flickering, or texture conflicts when connecting to adjacent segments.
Actual behavior
variant_wall blocks (e.g. spruce_wall) show z-fighting on certain faces when placed/connected, resulting in texture flickering and visual artifacts.
Technical notes / hypothesis
This looks like two faces are being rendered in the same location for some connection states of variant_wall, which causes z-fighting.
A screenshot illustrating the issue will be attached to this issue.
