[Bug] Severe battery usage with December update on Pixel Fold

Since the latest update to the Android app I've noticed a severe regression in battery usage, my device now runs hot constantly and the battery usage info indicates that usage has jumped up from barely anything to burning through 15% of the power used by my phone. It's so bad that idling with the screen off still leaves my device borderline hot to touch, and my device is constantly dying from unexpected flat batteries. I'm not sure what changed in the update to cause power consumption to be so much higher.

In case it matters I'm using chacha rather than aes as the cipher for my network

Can you go to the about page and copy the precise versions you see there?

Apologies for the delay, got tied up with other stuff.

The logs contain nothing of interest at least at the default logging level, only an occasional dropped ping to my Lighthouse nodes (but the battery drain is noticeable even before it's enabled long enough to experience even a single network hitch)

Since I am not personally able to reproduce this, I would expect that either you are pushing a lot of traffic through the phone and keeping the radio awake, or spending a lot of time attempting (re)handshaking with a remote host. Handshaking would show up in normal info level logs though, if the logs don't indicate this is happening then I would check how much traffic is flowing.

It's definitely not traffic related because it happens even if the only active tunnels are to my lighthouse nodes, and it's a relatively recent issue because I noticed a dramatic drop in battery life I'd initially blamed on an underlying Android update but which went away when Nebula is disabled.
