Hi,

That's not so much a bug report, more a question or a feature request. Wouldn't it make more sense to have some series listed as series? I only see integration into Movies libraries but for a better overview I'd think some channels would work better as series.

Please see this more of a suggestion I want to hear an opinion on.

Alternatively making a collection out of the site name or channel would work, too. I can imagine an option in the configuration of the plugin to use either site name or channel to create an "on the fly collection" . Would that be feasible?

The idea behind this is to have a better structured library when you mix adult and non-adult media in a single library. Having every single clip show up as its own movie makes browsing quite cumbersome, especially when you're searching for something else.

Series seem to be too complicated and collections already exists, it's based on studios (Add Collection task)

Thanks for the reply. I experimented a few times to work around it. But wouldn't it make more sense to work on box set? This information is available in the database so there won't be a collision with other plugins because others seem to rely simply on the box set. Unfortunately, splitting media in two libraries won't help either, because collections settings seem to be global.

Did a few experiments before reading this. The goal was to have a site as dated tv-show in a flat directory with all "eps" inside.

And I was successful with whisparr writing meta-data for the "show" and "episodes" and a 2nd jellyfin-installation with a "shadow"-library (setup as movies) fetching the pics via stash-plugin. Unfortunately, having the same directory and files in two libs didn't really work, so a 2nd jellyfin it had to be.

The resulting meta-data gets read properly and displayed in the main installation, where the same directory is set up as tv-show (no metadata-fetching).

Of course, this isn't a proper solution, but it means, it's doable currently, you just have to have two jellyfins, whispaar v2 and stash running. And then you still have to deal manually with missing covers for the "show" and "seasons". Maybe the task isn't as big as it might look at first glance?
