Review/update bash setup and test on OSX+Ubuntu

# Description
Would like to review, organize, research and complete an initial version of my bash-related files, then test compatibility on OSX and Ubuntu systems.

Current version is based on what I use daily on OSX, but it is not well organized and is missing updates I would like to add.
