Thank you for the support in VoxNovel! (it was my baby after all) Sadly the development of VoxNovel is on hold at the moment... as E2A is just blowing up so much more than VoxNovel ever was... I do plan on eventually implementing VoxNovel functionality into E2A eventually.... cause it's just way too cool not to. If it helps tho I was working on A Web gui version of VoxNovel before Ebook2Audiobook Blew up! Here's the VoxNovel Hugginface spaces if you want to clone and run them locally. These "Auto" versions mean that you just give them the book and it'll try to do everything for you
I think these were A weird test I was doing where I was trying to get the Terminal Version of VoxNovel to be able to work in a Web GUI.... unknown which works if any you can mess with them locally though |

For VoxNovel it might just be straight up crashing from you not having enough ram if it tells you nothing....As the larger the book you give it the more ram is required to process all the metadata about who said what in it... |

Hi there, was lead to this repo from the newer ebook2audiobook app, and personally really like the idea of being able to have multiple voice actors (especially if a suggestion I saw somewhere on the repo where different chapters can have different narrators is implemented!).
However, while I know that ebook2audiobook is more recent and actively developed, are there any plans on continuing development on VoxNovel?
I'm currently running Debian 12 on a NUC (iGPU, so unfortunately useless as far as this project is concerned), and when I used the install script for Linux, I can get as far as a successful install of VoxNovel, then a successful launch. I then get the GUI asking me to select a book, which works, then it starts processing it. But then after about 15 minutes, the Terminal just closes and I'm not usually at my computer to see what error message is spit out.
ebook2audiobook is currently running in a Docker container on the same NUC, and it's at least working (I can see the files being generated after I assign volumes to it), and it'd be nice if something similar to E2A's GUI can be implemented for VoxNovel!
