The finch R package has been archived

I notice this package has a dependency on {finch}.

Because it no longer had a maintainer, the finch package has been archived on GitHub https://github.com/ropensci-archive/finch

But it's still on CRAN apparently (cc former maintainer @sckott)

I haven't updated the version on CRAN since 2020. I'm not sure the version on CRAN works. I'd suggest removing dependency on finch. Let me know if any questions,.

Hi,
CRAN version of finch still works but indeed the dependency needs to be removed. For the moment, maintenance of this package is very limited although the issue is known.
