Handwriting text OCF is not accurate at all, unluckily. Websites like google has very good accuracy.
It would be cool to add an option to upload and do the OCR in external websites like google, and take the results and paste it in the PDF as invisible layer text, like ocrmypdf already does.

Can you paste some links to where and how to do this online? I've never done that before. A demo and instructions would be appreciated.

You can do it with Google Lens for example. There are APIs to make it automated

I'm pretty sure that's a paid service. I'd have to somehow pass the cost on to the users.

If implemented this should definitely not be a default option. Sending data to a 3rd party for ocr processing will raise privacy concerns.

@knarf180 , agreed. If am able to figure out how to do it, I will not make it default.
