Using Chef Cookbooks for ArcGIS with GitHub Actions

The new ArcGIS Automation using GitHub Actions project demonstrates how to use Chef Cookbooks for ArcGIS to automate base ArcGIS Enterprise deployment and operation on Amazon Web Services.

The base ArcGIS Enterprise deployment templates:

• Provide templates for deploying and operating base ArcGIS Enterprise on Windows and Linux.
• Leverage popular DevOps tools, such as GitHub Actions, Terraform, Packer, and Chef.
• Automate initial deployment, patching, upgrades, and disaster recovery operations.
• Create monitoring subsystems for each deployment.
• Support deployments with strict security requirements.
• Follow transparent modular design that is easy to understand, customize, or extend.
