Issue with graphqlGenerateSDL

I'm trying out graphql-kotlin, primarily because of the fact that I can write the code and the SDL can be generated, which I can then (in theory) use to generate TypeScript types for my frontend.

Based on the KTor example, I've got a simple server running, using the HelloQueryService from that example (but I didn't take any of the other queries or mutations).

However, I'm having an issue when I try to run the graphqlGenerateSDL task:

$ ./gradlew graphqlGenerateSDL

In my build.gradle.kts I have:

Running gradlew with the --info option, I see:

I do have a .../build/classes/kotlin/main directory, but not .../build/classes/java.

Am I missing some configuration option perhaps?

Can you share a repo that reproduces the error?

In preparation for putting a repo together, I copied my project to another computer where I plan to clean it up. However, when I ran the task on this other computer, it works.

So... there must be something in the environment that's causing the issue. I'm going to try to figure out what that is.

Yes... it has something to do with the version of Java being used.
