xen_plantlight glowing sprite resets its position to the origin on SoHL 1.2 #1999

In Savior Complex mod which uses Spirit of Half-Life 1.2 xen_plantlight with attached glowing sprite works incorrectly: when approached from the specific side the glowing sprite resets it's position to the xen_plantlight origin.
How to reproduce: the very first map, right at the player spawn, the xen_plantlight to the left, look at it, strafe left/right.
The bug is in the latest builds. Old 4529 build (3029 0.20 win32 i386 6461fa5) from 2023 doesn't have this bug.
