Subtle audio pop during engine startup #2000

Same issue when I run cs16-client which has menu music |

Sadly it seems to happen again. For some reason I wasn't hearing it on my laptop (launched the game a 3-5 times) but I still can hear it in headphones on my home desktop. |
I didn't hear a pop on engine startup either before or after the fix. |
The pop looks like this (audio in the image heavily amplified for clarity)

Starting exe at around 0:00 of this audio, the pop occurs (audio system startup?), and at the end of the image it's the ambient sound of the map that is loaded (all normal here).
I would be not bothered by this, but it's quite prominent when coming from my laptop's speakers (and it's on the left channel for some reason).
