I recently bought zibgee bulbs from Lidl, which can be connected to Hue bridge without problems. Also, they work well when using the Hue app from mobile phone.

How ever, huemagic also finds and lets me choose any of those lights, but when ever querying status or sending a command, I just get error;

"The light in not yet available. Please wait until HueMagic has established a connection with the bridge or check whether the resource ID in the configuration is valid."

Same thing happens when trying to query the group where these lights belong to. Has anyone been able to command third party (not Hue) bulbs via huemagic? One would think, that through the api the commands should just be interpreted in the bridge, because it works from the mobile app too...

Same issue here: I bought yesterday two Tradfri smart sockets from IKEA, connection to HUE bridge was no problem, they also show up in node red/ HUE Magic, but I cannot toggle them and keep on receiver the same error as @kytkija.
