Migration from (and unification) of MetOffice+nichollsh repos #1
Description
Currently, we mostly depend on the https://github.com/nichollsh/SOCRATES/ repo, which includes some modifications. However, the MetOffice has recent open-sourced SOCRATES into their own GitHub repo: https://github.com/MetOffice/SOCRATES/
It would make sense to unify these into a single repo in the FWL organisation.
- Firstly, because it means we can easily track issues relating to SOCRATES and its spectral files.
- Secondly, because we will then benefit from all the updates (past and future) the MetOffice has made to SOCRATES since I forked it.
- Thirdly, it is more representative of the fact that people other than myself have contributed to the fork (e.g. Bruna).
