Just started using this and have to download 125gb of mods again, even though I have them all already, or manually add them one by one via their folders, but they then become a "local mod" and do not auto update I assume.
Solution add a button that copies your existing mods so you do not have to redownload them, but they still link to the workshop so enable the auto updates.
Example: Import a mod preset made from the Arma launcher, mods populate, mods say "need to update", rather than an "update all" button which downloads all mods even if you have the files already, add a button to "import from mod folder(s)", this copies what it needs from the "!Workshop" folder, then verifies it has up to date files, done! Future updates can them be done automatically compared to having to import folders.
So basically if you can import an already downloaded mod but still have it link to where it came from on the workshop so for people who have the mods already they can import them but still get the up to date version from the workshop down the line.

sounds like you have steam on your pc updating the mods already.
just add your stem workshop folder as a local mod directory. you normally dont need to add the mods one by one, instead just the locations where your mods are.
