I upgraded to 0.23.1 from 0.22.1 and ran into #6678 again using either dash or legacy. I downgraded back to 0.22.1 and with legacy formats I can watch videos again. I originally had upgraded to 0.23.0, ran into the bug and downgraded. Should I create a new bug for 0.23.1? Is there a cache or something like that I should reset? The only thing I'm really concerned about would be my subscriptions list which I can just export first. |

Maybe a regional network problem. However if I downgrade to 22.1 and use legacy, all the videos play, in 360, but they do play. If I select dash it has the 403 error shortly after starting the video on 22.1. #6713 was opened by someone so I'll watch that bug since it does seem to match what I'm seeing. |

As there is a mention of the issue #6713, it states that the problem is a misconfiguration of PiHole, which I strongly disagree. Something changed two days ago in Freetube, maybe in the backend, if there is one, that affected both networks the same way and in both versions, 0.22.1 and 0.23, and now the 0.23.1 as well. Bypassing the DNS and network configuration by connecting directly to the internet has no effect and the issue persists. Thank you very much. |

@KnightArch There is no backend, FreeTube's local API is your computer talking straight to YouTube. Failed to fetch means something with the network setup is wrong, be that DNS, proxies, timeouts and considering that it doesn't affect all users it seems unlikely that it is a problem with FreeTube's code. Also fixing the PiHole configuration fixed it for various users, so yes blocking the BotGuard domain with a PiHole or by other means is definitely one of the causes. |

So, @absidue , the only explanation left is youtube blocking the traffic in some way. After analysing the traffic for a couple of days I can confirm that all communications are passing through, for both incoming and outcoming traffic, including the one related to the BotGuard. So, there is nothing on my end that is blocking any traffic at all. All DNS queries are being answered properly both by my internal DNS server in my network and by Cloudflare in the other network I administrate. As mentioned before, I tried changing my IP as my ISP have some known blocked/restricted IPs. But after 76 unique IPs, the issue are still present. Also, viewing direct from the website everything plays fine without any errors, so if there is nothing in midway between FreeTube and Youtube servers, it should behave exactly the same, which is not what I observed in the experiments. Maybe google found some way to block traffic originated outside from the website? Any ideas? I like so much the profile approach you guys created with the FreeTube that I prefer to stay without the youtube at all than being forced to use the website. I follow so many channels that is impractical to navigate in the youtube website. Even Freetube struggles to load all the channels in the startup process, but it endure and survives! 🤣 Thank you very much for the insights. I'll continue to monitor the situation and will report any news as they are coming. |

Everyone that worked on this is such a bunch of babes, absolutely amazing work, insanely quick turnaround. Fixed the problems I was having accessing videos. Will report back if I find any issues, but so far so good!!! Also personal thank you to @PikachuEXE - I use and love your Apple Silicon build which is installed thru Homebrew. Legend!! |

Hi, I still have the issue with 0.23.1 Beta on Nobara Linux. I don't have any VPN, Pihole or anything else in place. Just my pc directly connected to wifi. What can I do to resolve this? Is there more info I need to provide? I don't want to open a duplicate issue. |
