The GSConnect web extension currently uses Manifest V2 instead of the latest Manifest V3.

Google Chrome is on track to disable support for web extensions that use Manifest V2, which you can read more about here: https://developer.chrome.com/blog/mv2-transition/

The GSConnect web extension will need to be updated eventually to use Manifest V3 before the deadline to continue running on Google Chrome and (presumably) other Chrome-based browsers.
