Describe your request

For most notifications from my phone, when I click them in gsconnect, they are dismissed on both my phone and my PC without any further actions.

Proposed solution

It would be really cool if you could customize the action taken on a per application basis. This could either be in the form of opening a web page in the default browser, or opening a specific application. Examples below:

  • Clicking a notification from Gmail app could configured open gmail.com or Thunderbird on your pc.
  • Clicking a notification from Ebay app could be configured to open the ebay website.
  • Clicking a notification from Google Chat app could open my Beeper app, or the google chat website(in addition to inline reply).
  • Clicking a notification from twitter app could open https://twitter.com/notifications.

The name of the application would be used to create/determine the rules for what happens when a notification is clicked. This would make the notifications significantly more useful on the PC and meaningfully reduce the need to go back to the phone to interact with notifications.

Alternatives

The current only alternative is to pull out my phone to interact with messages that need more than the ability to reply to a message.
