Not sure how the indexing functions work in gCat - but it appears that there are 12 records with indexing errors after running the index checker in gCat (Admin console/Status) What does it mean when we have indexing errors? What are the impacts to admin and to users? What needs to be done to correct the errors and how? Right now there are 24 records but only 10 published. But 12 have errors so not sure which records have issues (is there a way to identify the ones with issues?)
It would be good to understand where in our record processing that we are supposed click on the button "index records" that exists in the editor area. Does a user click on that before they publish the record? after validation? when exactly would be an appropriate time to index the record?
Admins will need to understand this process and impacts and communicate this to Editors and Reviewers in gCat, so they can make the act of indexing a part of their editing and publishing process.
