Project Status?

What's the latest status on this project? I recently forked the repo and started working on dockerizing everything, but I have been running into quite a few issues that are pretty hard to pin down. Just want to check in since there hasn't been much activity recently and I want to make sure you guys are still planning on moving this code forward before I commit too much more time to it.

Hi there,

I have heard from folks that all is running well and not-so-well** from others - hard to pin down. I've recently come across the following issue, which shows some limited results when processing:

#65 - is this similar to the problems you're seeing? If not, what are the errors?

** Ultimately, I think the underlying version of the cTAKES install matters - just haven't had time to really dig into that - on sort of a hiatus from open source.

I totally understand needing to devote focus and energy to more paid work. 🥂

No, most of my issues so far have been related to configuring MySQL connections to an external source and maven errors in the docker build environment, which have all had very cryptic stacktraces for me (I don't spend much time with Java or especially Spring). I'll create different issues for my current roadblocks.

It does seem that you are the primary contributor to this project (did you start it?), so that's unfortunate that you've stepped away for now. I'll see if I can push it forward a little more by dockerizing everything, but I'm definitely going to need some help refactoring some of the Spring and cTAKES configuration.

Hi there. It was myself and @gandhirajan who worked on this project. It has been working for folks for a while, but that isn't the case at this point in time.

The good news is I can dedicate some time to the project (up until my cross-country move, however).

The great news is there's a gentleman that just came into the OpenEMR project (friend project to cTAKES) that is familiar with cTAKES and wants to help with this project. I will introduce him soon and I will ask if he can help Dockerizing everything so that we can, once and for all, a) have a Docker images! and b) ship OpenEMR with cTAKES and meet the very important milestone of creating a press release!!! #11
