here is the issue: it still uses the default config, but I have changed the environmental variables (and rebooted already)

If you run echo $PF_INFO what is the output?

i tried to initialize variables from .zshrc and now the config has changed. But it can not read my custom logo:

@lasashq the file under PF_CUSTOM_LOGO has to match the pfetch format (specifying the distro name with [Aa]rch*) etc.), see the custom_logos_example or the second part of the Configuration Section. Make sure to use tabs for indentation.

issue stays even if I insert the example file into the PF_CUSTOM_LOGOS.

I have also tried to change mine logo, but there is still no logo on fetch

The example file should definitely work, it is probably an issue with indentation. The file must use tabs for indentation, try downloading the file directly instead of pasting the contents in an editor.

I tried to use the downloaded example file. Still doesn't work...
