Why is this task with a 'wait' date showing up as PENDING?

I've been seeing a lot of my 'waited' tasks showing up in my next report recently and I can't figure out why. Here's an example:

taskwarrior version is 2.5.3 installed via apt and I'm on Pop!_OS 21.04

Until 2.6.2, the Status

Status        Pending

and the wait date

Waiting until 2022-07-01 00:00:00

were considered separately, with a status of "Waiting" for a waiting task. As of 2.6.2, only the wait date is part of that calculation. It looks like you're sync'ing between 2.6.2 and 2.5.3, and the last change (on 2022-04-03) was made on 2.6.2, which only updated the wait date.

The best fix is to use the latest version for all replicas sharing a sync account -- there are several other bugs triggered by syncing between versions as well (such as with dependencies).

I see thanks. I guess I'll have to reinstall and build. Do you have any idea when the apt repo will updated to the latest version? I have no idea if you guys have control over that
