To upgrade, you will need to export your tasks from Taskwarrior 2 and re-import them into Taskwarrior 3.
But my taskwarrior has already been updated to v3 by my package manager, and I haven't been aware of the breaking change until it was too late. And I don't want to go down the hacky road of reverting it or compiling a legacy version from source.
Typically, for such breaking changes, there should be a legacy mode being around for the next several releases, ideally together with a command for migration.
